Devotional:
Perfection is the perfect cover for any voids we may have. If we can work to paint the perfect images of our lives, people wouldn't dare to question what lies behind them. The search for our flaws would actually seem quite irrelevant. But in a world that perfect, where is there room for God?
Scripture says, that God's strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. So why do people strive to be perfect on their own? If you ask me, there’s a deeper void beneath the surface that’s driving their quest. They truly seek acceptance, love and significance. But can striving to appear perfect, amongst a world full of imperfect humans accomplish that task? Apparently not.
We must all come to accept that our brokenness is beautiful. It is through our brokenness that God’s glory is revealed. It is through our brokenness that generations of trauma are healed. And, it is through our brokenness that chains are loosed and captives are set free. The more cracks in our vessels, the greater His light shines.
Without our brokenness, we could never see how great God could be.

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."
