Devotional:
Everyone in someway, has their eye set on the mountaintop. A relentless pursuit, fueled by an innate desire to say they have finally “made it.”
But while everyone claws to reach the pinnacle of their success, they miss the true beauty of their process. Failing to realize, that the valley has hills. These hills may not be the mountains most seek, but there’s many valuable lessons learned there.
If you focus too intently on the mountain, you’ll miss the lusciousness of the valley. It’s not just the most fertile land, but it’s also the most fertile in knowledge, wisdom and understanding. In God’s process, what you consume in the valley determines your sustainability on the mountaintop. It teaches you how to handle the highs and lows of life before there’s a higher cost to pay. (Higher mountains, higher falls)
So this year, learn to embrace the hills in the valley and the lessons that come with them.
Scripture(s) Meditation:
”Every valley shall be raised, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged places a broad valley.“
Isaiah 40:4 AMP

Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below.
What is the mountain you seek? How has your focus for the mountain stunted your growth in God’s process. How can this be changed?
