Devotional:
I won’t lie to you, I’ve spent most of my life in what people would call “last place.” Last to be chosen as a friend. Last to be considered for opportunities and last to be supported by those I loved the most. I was even the last child to be born in both my families.
To make up for this placement in life, I compromised parts of myself that I never should have. I began to seek affirmation through my education because quantitatively speaking, I’d always be first. Or come in, as a close second.
I found myself constantly grasping for something that was completely out of my reach. No matter what I tried, the burden of being "last" would never leave me. For quite a while, I believed it was something wrong with me. That was until...
The Lord showed me numerous moments in the Bible where He used those in last place for something great. Maybe you too share this same sentiment, but I want to affirm that God will use your position as one in last place, also, for something great.

Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below.
What has being in "last place" done for you spiritually, mentally and emotionally? How will you choose to have a better outlook on this positioning?

Lately I’ve been feeling like being last or in my case completely left out might be a blessing; protecting me from evil spirits and leeches. Issues I worked for a long time with God to heal from. Waiting hasn’t been all that bad now that I am way more peaceful.
