Devotional:
There are pit seasons. Moments in time, where we’re thrown deep into the confines of the dark pit, for elevation. But, there are also moments in time, where our own emotions will guide us deep into the pit of despair.
Maybe the promises aren’t coming to pass as soon as you’d like. Maybe the reality of being hidden, is too much for you. Or maybe the process of long-suffering, has finally taken its toll. Whatever the reasoning, your emotions can cause unnecessary pitfalls. Sending you into a season, that you have long arisen from.
In these moments, what can you do? Truth is, there is always a choice. You can either sulk and move away from God or you can choose to invite Him in. With the latter, you allow God’s presence to be your ladder. The very tool of deliverance, that will set you free from your deceitful emotions.
If you are tired of the unnecessary pitfalls, cry out to the Lord. He will surely hear you and save you.
Scripture(s) Meditation:

Jeremiah 17:9 NIV
““From the bottom of the pit, O Lord, I cried out to you, And when I begged you to listen to my cry, you heard. You answered me and told me not to be afraid. “You came to my rescue, Lord, and saved my life.”
Lamentations 3:55-58 GNT
