Devotional:
Some of the hardest battles I’ve faced, have come at a time when I’m already in distress. As if it’s not enough, that I’ve grown weary from the warfare I’ve been facing. In those moments, it has always been easy for me to retreat from the battle and cower in the corner.
But, it is in those moments of extreme weariness that the Lord gives our strength variability. To be variable means to be adaptable. Meaning no matter what you face, you’re able to alter your response and destroy your target.
Physiologically, our bodies have two branches of defense when it comes to our immune system. The innate and the adaptive. If we were left to just the innate branch, we’d die when pathogens mutate. But because of this adaptability, we can remain protected against the most foreign of substances.
Some of you, want to go and cower in the corner like I have. But, as you persevere through the trial, the Lord is giving you an adaptive strength. Where you’ll have the spiritual intelligence to destroy any enemy that opposes you.
