  • Though you search…

Devotional: From the world’s perspective, we are taught to go after those who come against us. However, when you become a child of God, this is no longer the case. God Himself will seek vengeance on your behalf, all you need to do is stand still. Whatever situation you are facing right now, know that God is always in control. His plans and ways are so much greater than yours and He needs you to surrender it over to Him. There could be people lying on your name or even worse, being used as vessels by the enemy to come against your purpose. But know that you have a Father that can turn around everything meant for evil, for your good. Learn to forgive people and move on. For when you try and search for your enemies, you will see that God has indeed brought them to nothing. Scripture(s) Meditation: ““Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them— Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below. In what way(s) are you attempting to seek vengeance on your own behalf? Are you willing to let God be God and surrender it over to Him? Sun'Ray💕

  • A Man of His Word

Devotional: Often times, you may find yourself discussing how God is truly a Man of His Word. And though this is easy for you to say, how many of you actually believe it? Do you walk in this understanding every day? Essentially, do your actions line up to what it is that you say you believe? In our scripture meditation for today, God reminds Jeremiah, of His faithfulness. He wanted to ensure Jeremiah understood that His promise of restoring His covenant to the Israelite people was true. What better way than to turn Jeremiah’s attention to the covenant God made with the sun and the moon. No matter what happens, you can expect to see the sun and moon appear everyday. Doesn't this make you think? If God is able to keep this covenant, what makes you think He won't fulfill yours? Yes it can become taxing waiting on God, however doesn't He always come through? Isn't our Father, who art in Heaven, a man of His Word? Scripture(s) Meditation: ““This is what the Lord says: If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night so that day and night cease to come at their regular time, then also my covenant with my servant David may be broken. If that could happen, then he would not have a son reigning on his throne and the Levitical priests would not be my ministers.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33:20-21‬ ‭CSB‬‬ Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below. Why do you believe you have a hard time trusting God? Where in your life has your trust been broken? How can you look at all the times God has come through for you in your life and change your perspective? Sun'Ray💕

  • Let Go and Let God

Devotional: There’s this assuredness that comes when you can control a situation. As long as you are able to do something, you feel that you are in control. However, what happens when you do this in regards to your faith walk? Isn’t the sole purpose to sit back and Let God be God? One of the hardest lessons to learn is surrender. Natural human instinct makes you believe that surrendering is a position of weakness. However, in God, it’s the greatest source of your strength. It is at this point of surrender that God can actually move in your life. When you let go, you let God have His way. I encourage you to day to let go of whatever you have your hands on and give it to God. Trust that His way and His plans are indeed the best for you. Scripture(s) Meditation: “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭CSB‬‬ Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below. What current circumstance are you facing right now and struggling to give to God? What is keeping you from fully surrendering and trusting God? Sun'Ray💕

  • God Favors You

Prophetic Word (10/27/2022): The set time for God to favor you is now. Prepare to experience radical breakthroughs and see doors just open before you. God has set the key of David on your shoulder and given you both the power and authority to walk into things you never imagined. Not to mention a new found strength to walk out of those things that kept you in bondage. With this new found power and authority comes a shift in the position you have externally. You recognized this first hand with Joseph when he went from the pit to the palace. He was cleaned up, then leveled up. It's time to get your house and order and be prepared for the new God has set before you. God will bring you into rooms where people may have even spoken against you, not knowing you were His chosen. No need to worry because God's favor is a shield around you. There will be people you encounter that will favor you in ways they never have any other person. Don't be prideful, but walk confidently in the fact that God's vengeance is playing out in your life. Their depreciation and humilitation of you has turned into God's elevation for you! Let this be your reminder that God has approved of you. You are loved and highly favored! Scripture(s) Meditation: “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭102‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭2‬ ‭CSB‬‬ “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below. When you think of the word favor, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? What was the most memorable experience you had with God’s favor? Sun'Ray💕

  • Feeling Alone, Feeling Forgotten

Devotional: “I have no one.” “It seems that everyone I could trust, has turned their back on me.” “Why does it seem like as soon as I get close to someone, God snatches them away?” ”Maybe I’m not meant to have friends. They all leave eventually anyways.” Do any of these statements/questions resonate with you? If so, let’s talk. You may feel as if you are alone and forgotten. But what if you are taking situations that were meant to happen and turning them into lies? Meaning, those people who left, were never meant to stay. That those people who turned their back, were never for you in the first place. With this in mind, you can begin to confront the lie with the truth. Feelings aren't factual. If anything, they are the most deceptive thing hi-jacked by Satan to keep you in bondage. At times, God will have you undergo a cleansing process. This process removes those things/people that were never meant to be, and heals so those things/people that are meant remains. I don't want to bypass your current emotions, but I just want to encourage you to see things differently. You are never alone. I know it's hard to believe when there's no one in your house, DM's or even hitting your line. But today I want to remind you that you are so precious to God. That He would rather have you to Himself and clean you up, than to allow the wrong people to taint your process. Meditation Scripture(s): “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below. What is keeping you attached to the things God has removed from your life? Sun'Ray 💕

  • People Pleasing

Devotional: When you are about to do something, who do you ask first to seek validation? If you are being honest, most of you would mention a best friend or even a family member right? Though this may be your natural reaction to decision making, the season we are in now, God says this must stop. Instead of asking others, you need to develop a new habit and ask God first. For many of us, we know that only God knows the heart of a man. Though people may seem to hold our best interest externally, internally that is not always the case. When you seek the approval of man, you are making that man “your master.” However, because you’ve given your heart to God, this presents an issue. One that comes with division, confusion and double-mindedness. However, if you choose to only serve one master, you prevent the issues that come from that division. As we enter into this new year, everyone focuses on creating new habits. Though I believe that goals worked on before a set time, actually guarantees commitment, let’s set this new goal together. That in this next year, we set aside the approval of man for something so much greater. We seek God first and trust that what He says, is the best decision for us. Scripture(s) Meditation: “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬ A Quick Prayer: God, please forgive me for the many times I have chosen the approval of man. Today, I acknowledge my wrongs and repent for each time I set aside your great and wise counsel. Father, guide me into all understanding and truths concerning better ways to seek your wisdom over that of man. Thank you Father for loving me enough to correct my wayward behaviors. In Jesus’ Name. Amen Reflection Question(s): We invite you to discuss below. In what areas of your life are you currently struggling with people pleasing? How will you prevent yourself from continuing on this destructive path? Sun'Ray💕

  • How to develop spiritual discipline

Listed below are practical ways to help one become more spiritually disciplined. Before we continue answer this one question with a yes or no answer. Question: If you had children (or already have them) would you let them run around your house doing whatever they wanted for a 24-hour period? If you are like most people, then I have one word to say to you. Congratulations! You successfully understand what discipline is! So although you may feel you don’t have discipline, that doesn’t mean you don’t know how to apply it. It’s just that you need to look at your spiritual life and see where you are allowing yourself to be a wild kid doing whatever you want spiritually in a 24-hour period. I’m going to discuss a few practical ways below to become more disciplined spiritually. Disclaimer: We must warn you that results will vary depending on your level of commitment. Either you are serious about developing a more intimate relationship with the bridegroom or you aren’t. Some things in life require you to have an interest (hunger), this is one of them. Meditating on Scripture: “My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:148‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ When we choose to meditate (think) on scripture, we begin to take the time to fully dissect and understand the word of God. We realize that we can’t simply speed through an entire book in one week. Before reading, we pray for revelation and allow the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to interpretations of the scriptures we have never before considered. For example take the book of Proverbs. There are so many rich scriptures to meditate on in every single chapter. Instead of making it a goal to read a chapter a day, try a verse a day! Choose to spend time in silence just meditating on what that piece of wisdom means and how the Holy Spirit wishes for you to apply it. Diligent & Persistent Prayer: “pray without ceasing,” ‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ This one is one of the hardest for people to do. Not because prayer is hard, but it requires one to truly sit down and shut out the noise. Another reason this is hard is because many of you may feel that your prayers aren’t being heard or answered. You first want to accept the spirit of adoption and understand that your Father will hear you. Then you want to develop this relationship of prayer, by creating the habit of going to God in prayer before you seek out another source. As you strengthen this habit, it will become easier to pray. You will then transition towards seeking God’s Word and praying it over your life and those of others. And then even a step further by praying what and when the Holy Spirit directs you. Diligent Fasting: “But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:17-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Just as with prayer, you can begin to fast persistently. Now I am a firm believer to always do as the Holy Spirit leads. So if you feel that your flesh is getting out of control, seek the Holy Spirit and your Bible for solutions to help you overcome it. Often times, fasting is a great way to make your flesh submit to the Spirit of God. Fasting should not be without prayer. Let me say this again, fasting and prayer go hand in hand. You will notice such a shift and strength by persistently fasting, that it will become easier and easier to do more rigorous fasts. You also will break things in the Spirit and trust me, God showed me that demons even know this fact. Which is why they try to keep us from fasting! Also you can choose to live a fasted lifestyle, where you refrain from overeating. There are many others ways to develop discipline, however I believe that these are the three that could be used in a practical way to get you started. Ray’Netta (Sun’Ray)

  • Three steps to begin your healing journey…

Though it’s been a few years since beginning my journey of healing with the Lord, the growth I’ve experienced has been amazing. The goal when living in submission to Christ is to grow daily in your faith walk. Below, I release three critical steps that helped me along my way. Now you must understand, I didn’t start off doing these things perfectly, but I did stay consistent. My only prayer is that these can transform your relationship with God as they did for me. (Please note, these are in no particular order) One: Recognize your weakness as your strength When it comes to healing, transparency and realness with yourself is a must. But you also must carry this same authenticity when sitting in the presence of God. Many of you may try to appear strong on your own, but in reality, that in itself is a weakness. Whenever you choose your own strength, over God’s, you have already lost every battle. David’s strength in war came from recognizing that he needed to lean on God. When beginning this healing journey, become okay with admitting your weaknesses. As Paul said, you want to boast in your weaknesses so that the power of Christ can rest upon your shoulders. “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV Two: Cover yourself with grace Did you know that when you share kind and encouraging words to others, that you are imparting grace on those that hear? Well, scripture tells us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. The primary way to love yourself is by offering yourself grace. By doing so, you are enabled to offer grace in abounding ways to others. You have to realize that you aren’t perfect and everyday won’t be picture perfect. Instead of beating yourself up as you progress in healing, offer yourself grace. Many of you will do this at the drop of a dime for others, but what about for yourself? Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Heal the healthy way by offering yourself the same grace the Father has extended to you through the gift of Jesus Christ. “No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭CSB‬‬ Three: Spend time in solitude with God You want to know why being in the wilderness can be such an amazing experience? Because it’s completely you and God. Just as with certain healing miracles in the Bible, it should be a private and intimate experience. Yes the world damaged you, but many of you need to withdraw into the presence of God so He can fully nurse your wounds. Allow Him to complete the work He started in you from the day you confessed His name in your heart. Set time daily, even weekly to withdraw from the world and spend time with Jehovah Rapha (God our Healer). Shut the phone off, put the kids to bed, turn off the tv and just dwell. A few minutes in the presence of God is worth eternity on this Earth. For no woman can stand in the presence of God and not be transformed, restored and healed. “So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Our prayer is that this helps you start this healing journey with God. For us, your healing journey is simply your walk of Faith with God. Every step you take closer to God, brings you closer to becoming a complete work in Him. - Ray’Netta (Sun’Ray)

  • Signs a Breakthrough is Near…

Very often, you will find a believer praying for a breakthrough. This can occur in many different areas, health, financial, spiritual, mental etc. Below I'm giving a few signs I've encountered during my personal journey when a breakthrough is extremely close. Sign One: A wave of peace and joy - Philippians 4:6-7 Where once hope was deferred, there's a restoration of joy and peace. No matter what may be going on, you find yourself in a state of contentment. Things could be falling apart around you, yet you still have peace and genuine joy. Sign Two: Revival in “dead” spaces- John 11:11 What once appeared “dead”, suddenly encounters an increase in activity or movement. This is normally a subtle change that happens in an incremental fashion. Imagine when you first turn on a faucet, the water trickles before it pours out. The pouring out is the breakthrough, the trickle is what happens immediately before. Sign Three: Attitude of Praise- 2 Chronicles 20:15-22 You suddenly develop a great desire to worship and praise. It’s almost as if through your worship you can sense the closeness of your breakthrough. You will shift from praying for it, to knowing it’s already done. There will be joyful weeping. As you praise, your expectation of God causes your faith to rise. Sign Four: Enemies are revealed - 1 Samuel 26:21 Spirits that have been operating against you are revealed (delay, confusion, doubt, witchcraft etc). People that never meant you any good, will confess with their mouth who they truly are. Dreams and visions begin to show people from your past who were already revealed as enemies. There’s also an increase of demonic activity in your field of vision as well. Sign Five: More signs and wonders - Mark 16:17 It's similar to labor and the contractions a woman experiences. The closer to birth, the greater the signs and confirmations. There will be an increase in the communication from God you see concerning breakthrough. BONUS Sign Six: The Old is cut away- 2 Corinthians 5:17 The people who were able to stand with you in your place of lack, won’t always be present during the release of your breakthrough. People will begin to remove themselves or God will order you to remove certain people from you. Your habits and desires will shift as well. God will also place new desires in your heart. There are honestly many more signs, but these are the ones that I've encountered continuously when on the verge of a breakthrough. Our prayer is that this helps you see deeper spiritually into the moves of God. - Ray’Netta (Sun’Ray)
